Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Keita played most recently on loan to Valerenga Oslo in Norway - one of a series of loans back to Norway after an ill-fated move to Poland in 2014. His primary position is left winger - a position that has recently been filled by Sean Davis in the wake of the season-ending injury to Mike Grella.
His connections to sporting director Denis Hamlett and head coach Jesse Marsch stem from his time with Stabaek back in 2015, where he was coached by Bob Bradley - the former boss of the current RBNY brains trust.
In a ten-year career Keita has appeared in 212 games, scoring 36 goals and adding 20 assists. He has represented Norway at the youth levels, but not at the senior level.
Transfer Markt gave Keita an estimated value of 600,000 euros (~$703,000).
