The Cameroon Men’s U-23 National Team will play Sierra Leone in the second round of qualifying for the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in a home-and-away series to be played in March.

The Indomitable Lions are through to the next round of AFCON U-23 qualifying thanks to a 4-1 aggregate win over Chad, secured with a 3-0 home win in the first leg, followed by a 1-1 tie in Chad on November 20.

In Chad, Herve Ngan scored for Cameroon in the 29th minute to establish what appeared to a decisive 4-0 lead on aggregate. Chad equalized in the 36th minute, but could not summon the additional goals necessary to pressure the Indomitable Lions.

New York Red Bulls defender Hassan Ndam was on the bench for Cameroon in Chad. It isn’t entirely clear whether he featured at all in the match - we can hope for more thorough match reports out of Cameroon in due course.
