The Sports Turf Management Association has announced its 2018 Field of the Year winners. Red Bull Arena has won the award in the Professional Soccer category.
Congrats to our 2018 “Field of the Year” in the Professional Soccer category, @RedBullArena, home of the @NewYorkRedBulls (Harrison, N.J), and @Dan_Shemesh, Director of Grounds! #SportsTurf #FieldExperts ⚽️ pic.twitter.com/pQNaCp0QuY

This is the first time RBA has won the award. The fields managed by Columbus Crew, FC Dallas, and Colorado Rapids have been STMA favorites in the past.
The New York Red Bulls can be expected to put the trophy next to their 2018 CONCACAF Champions League Fair Play Award and that JD Power Fan Experience Study that they used to win for fun.
More seriously, the STMA’s award is due recognition for a field that has long been lauded as one of the better playing surfaces in MLS and indeed the USA.
Congratulations to RBA’s Director of Grounds, Dan Shemesh, and his team for the STMA’s acknowledgement of the high standards that govern RBNY’s playing field in Harrison. The field will be in action at least one more time this year, for the second leg of RBNY’s MLS 2018 Eastern Conference Final series against Atlanta United on November 29.
Enter to win ✌️ manager box seats to the Eastern Conference Championship!
