New York Red Bulls II’s front four has continued to click over the last few weeks. Both Stefano Bonomo and Florian Valot were selected to the USL Team of the Week for Week 29. Bonomo had four goals in two games which included a hat trick in their win over Orlando City B last weekend. Florian Valot added two goals of his own and completed 31 of 38 passes in the game as well.

Valot and Bonomo now have three appearances in the starting lineups for a USL Team of the Week as they tied Vincent Bezecourt for most appearances on the team this season. For NYRB II it was the second time this season that they have had multiple players selected to the starting eleven for a USL Team of the Week.

Bonomo’s been a reason why NYRB II are on the verge of a playoff spot as he has 10 goals in 12 games since his return from injury. Valot’s resurgence has also been a big help to NYRB II’s goal scoring as with his two goals against Orlando City B he has scored 7 goals in his last 8 games.
NYRB II will look to lock up a playoff spot in the last game of the season when they travel to take on Rochester Rhinos. The game will take place on Saturday, October 14, at 6:05 pm.
