The Red Bulls and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger have confirmed Thierry Henry will be back with the team Feb. 17 as scheduled.
Turns out the reports that Wenger wanted Henry for upcoming matches aren't true. He told the Red Bulls that keeping the team's captain around for any longer would be "unfair."
"He has a fantastic impact on the squad," Wenger said. "He was happy to be here and all the players were happy to have him around. In training, he looks better every week. He is now back to a fitness level comparable to all the other players. The movements of him training makes me think it is a shame he does not play for the national team anymore."
Henry scored twice for Arsenal in his brief stay, once in an FA Cup tie with Leeds United and another in Arsenal's drubbing of Blackburn Rovers.
Henry will be available for Arenal's Feb. 15 Champions League against AC Milan before he heads back for the Red Bulls' Feb. 20 match against Pumas UNAM in Phoenix.
