Something, Something Red Bulls Have Injuries

One half of the Red Bulls in this picture might not play this weekend. Also, LOL D.C. UNITED.

Welcome once again to Once A Metro where all our content consists of Red Bulls injury reports aggregated from the people who actually get paid to watch practice. I'll spare you a cutesy intro and we'll get right into it...

According to Franco Panzio at MLSsoccer.com, it only took Heath Pearce a few weeks before he caught the injury bug. He'll sit out Sunday's game against the New England Revolution with a hamstring injury. Also, out Sunday, according to Big Apple Soccer's Kristian Dyer, is Markus Holgersson.

Both Panzio and Dyer report Rafael Marquez, he of the on-again-off-again injuries, didn't practice earlier today due to a calf injury. He could practice later in the week, but that doesn't mean he'll be 100% for this weekend's game.

Panzio and Dyer both report Jan Gunnar Solli was out of practice today. Hans Backe said Solli should be able to go this weekend, but putting together laundry list after laundry list of injury reports wouldn't be so tedious if Backe's predictions erred on the pessimistic side and his guys were a bit less injury prone.

A bit of good news from Dyer is that Thierry Henry, who normally doesn't like to play on turf, will travel with the team. Whether he plays or not remains to be seen, but making the trip is a good sign.
