One compliment that’s given to Red Bull Arena constantly is that there isn’t a bad seat in the house, and as a season ticket holder of 130, I can tell you that is true. What the four corner sections of Red Bull Arena offer you are options.
Do you want to feel like you’re part of the South Ward, but still want to sit down and enjoy a beer? The south corners (129-131, 104-106) are for you. These two sections are adjacent to the South Ward. So close that I guarantee you that the songs will get stuck in your head (my friends can attest, I will randomly sing South Ward chants despite the quizzical looks I get from friends, strangers, and loved ones). While, you may not be expected to stand and sing for 90 minutes, you will be expected to contribute by standing and cheering (or jeering) for corner kicks.
The corners are some of the most diverse sections of Red Bull arena. You can sit next to Season Ticket Holders from 1996 to new families who just got season tickets, to single game attendants, and everyone in between. The fans are loud and energetic when you want them to be and calm and thoughtful when the moment calls for it. If you’re looking for the energy and atmosphere of the South Ward with a little more of the sideline thrown in, then the corner section will be right for you. You’ll be right up close to all the action, songs, and you will won’t get showered in beer.
If you are on the other north end of the stadium, you won't get the South Ward experience, but you will get the same views. Those on the north west corner get to boo the opposing team's subs as they warm up along the goal line and the north east gets to jeer at the assistant referee. The corners offer a unique experience at Red Bull Arena. You get the sideline and goal line view mixed into one.
