Former two-time Red Bulls interim head coach and current USMNT U-17 head coach Richie Williams has called in twenty players to his squad to play in the Vaclav Jezek Youth Tournament in the Czech Republic. Of those twenty players, two have significant Red Bulls academy connections: fullback Mathew Olosunde and defensive midfielder Tyler Adams.

Adams, who only recently scored his first professional goal with a header in a friendly versus Chelsea FC, is a mainstay in the New York Red Bulls II lineup when available; he is approaching 700 minutes played for NYRB II at only sixteen years old. He started the year playing fullback for the national team, but has transitioned to a defensive midfielder for club in recent months, and is listed as a midfielder in the most recent call-ups. Adams appears to be held in very high regard by the club, with head coach Jesse Marsch speaking very highly of him after match his versus Chelsea, and looks to be in line for a Homegrown deal in the near future.

Alongside Adams, Olosunde has been a regular for the U-17's this cycle, being called into all of the last four camps, featuring regularly, as well as being part of US Soccer's residency program. Olosunde, a fullback, has impressed many with his recent play and appears to be drawing international interest, recently training with Manchester United, though he is unlikely to move abroad anytime soon as he is only seventeen.
