For the occasion of his first goal of the season, Alex Muyl was named to the bench of this week's official all-MLS Best XI.
Muyl is the fifth Red Bull to catch the eye of MLS TotW so far this season. Felipe made the bench in Weeks 1 and 2; Luis Robles and Tyler Adams got among the subs for Week 4. Aaron Long is the only RBNY player to win selection to the TotW starting lineup, for his Week 4 performance against Real Salt Lake.
In his second year as a pro, Muyl has made seven appearances in all competitions for RBNY to date this season. His goal against D.C. United was just the second to be scored by a Red Bull not named Bradley Wright-Phillips in 2017.
