The LA Times' Kevin Baxter reports that Jermaine Jones has hurt his knee.
#LA Galaxy's Jermaine Jones has a grade 2 MCL strain an MRI revealed, according to the club— Kevin Baxter (@kbaxter11) May 8, 2017
If he is slow to recover, Jones' availability for the US Men's National Team's upcoming matches at the beginning of June could also be affected.
Jones sustained the injury during LA's game against Chicago Fire on May 6. He is a player who divides opinion, and his absence from the Galaxy's squad to play the Red Bulls will be as much regarded as a chance for younger players to start as it is the loss of a veteran presence on the team.
