Uruguay was the top team out of CONMEBOL qualifying for the 2017 Men's U-20 World Cup, and is arguably the favorite to win this tournament now that France is out. The team is undefeated in the competition to date, and has yet to concede a goal.
It is a curious favorite, however, because it hasn't really put games out of reach of its opponents. The 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia in the round of 16 was characteristic of Uruguay's tournament so far: yes, it looked the better team, but the Saudis were never more than a moment of luck or inspiration away from finding their own way into the match.
Still, respect for Uruguay's achievements in qualifying and in its four games at this World Cup make it at least one of the favorites to win the tournament.
Portugal did not have a great group stage, and would be watching the knockout rounds from home were it not for the lifeline of a late own-goal from Iran in its final match of Group C.
But there was a sense that the Portuguese were capable of getting more out of themselves throughout their group stage struggles. In the round of 16, that feeling was vindicated: Portugal established a three-goal lead over South Korea by the 69th minute, and ultimately settled on a comprehensive 3-1 win.
If that Portugal turns up for this game, Uruguay might need to find an extra gear - and we haven't really seen much evidence of an extra gear from the Uruguayans yet in this tournament.
Per livesoccertv.com, here's where to find the game if watching from the USA:
