The USA has reloaded its squad for the knockout rounds of the 2017 Gold Cup, taking advantage of the tournament's rule allowing players to be replaced after the group stage to bring in a few heavyweights such as Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, and Clint Dempsey.

The additional firepower makes the USA - the most conspicuously tooled up squad in the knockout rounds - favorite to win the tournament. The first test of that notion is provided by El Salvador. USMNT will be expected to win this game comfortably, which is not entirely fair on the Salvadorans - but expectations are not predictions: if El Salvador is being underestimated, this is its chance to make that case.
