Scarcely two days after it was reported FC Dallas head coach Oscar Pareja was on his way to Liga MX’s Club Tijuana, FCD has announced Pareja’s departure from the club.

Academy director.
Winningest head coach in the modern era of FC Dallas.
Today, the team and Oscar Pareja have mutually agreed to part ways. #ThankYouPapi

FCD won a Supporters’ Shield and US Open Cup (both in 2016) on Pareja’s watch, and also developed one of the strongest Academy-to-First-Team pipelines in MLS. Pareja had been head coach at FCD since January 2014.
There is currently no reason to believe that FC Dallas has any interest in New York Red Bulls II head coach John Wolyniec, who won a USL Cup and Shield double in 2016 and has been instrumental in helping RBNY develop one of the strongest Academy-to-First-Team pipelines in MLS.
Expect rumors promoting candidates to fill the vacancy at FC Dallas to arrive shortly. The MLS winter transfer rumor silly season looks set to be up and running before Thanksgiving this year. Fun times ahead.
