MLS 2018 will soon be over - MLS Cup is on December 8. After that, it is a bleak midwinter for fans, who will have to subsist on transfer rumors and preseason friendlies until March (or perhaps late February, if your team is involved in CONCACAF Champions League).
But MLS has a plan to see fans through the dark days of January and February: eMLS is back.

This year’s competition will see Atlanta United, D.C. United, and FC Cincinnati join the 19 MLS teams that fielded players in the 2018 campaign. Meaning every MLS team but LAFC will be represented.
Last year, eMLS Cup was held in April. This year, the build-up to the Cup will include two leagues: Series One in January and Series Two in February.
For New York Red Bulls fans, that should mean more opportunity to follow RBNY’s designated pro FIFA player, Mike Labelle.
