Hannover’s Chris Gloster is a New York Red Bulls Academy product. The young American had an eye-catching 2017, winning the CONCACAF Men’s U-17 Championship with the USA and playing in the Men’s U-17 World Cup in India - where his team lost in the quarterfinals to eventual champion England. He parlayed that into a move to Hannover earlier this year, but he remains part of the US Soccer Youth National Teams set-up.
Gloster was part of the USA’s 2018 CONCACAF Men’s U-20 Championship winning squad, meaning he will be contention to play in the 2019 U-20 World Cup.
And he can add another accolade to his growing list of achievements: he was named to the 2018 CONCACAF Men’s U-20 Championship Best XI.

All told, there were eight American players named to the 2018 CU20 Best XI, including Golden Glove winner Brady Scott and Golden Ball winner Alex Mendez.
Congrats, Chris!
