Panama is the top seed in Group D and clear favorite to win the group after besting Canada in the last round of games.
Dominica was seeded fifth in this group, but has recovered from an opening-game loss to Canada with wins over St Kitts and Nevis and Martinique. So Panama will find itself playing a more confident team than the one that lost its first game of the tournament 4-0.
Nonetheless, Los Canaleros will be expected to win this game handily. They have not racked up the gaudy, double-digit wins of group-leading counterparts like the USA and Honduras, but that is perhaps because Group D’s teams have produced a more consistent level of competition than has been found elsewhere in the tournament. Panama will hope that more testing competition in the Group Stage serves it well when (or if - the group isn’t won quite yet) it reaches the next phase of this championship.
