On January 13, 2017, the New York Red Bulls selected Zeiko Lewis with the 17th overall pick of the MLS SuperDraft. Invited to say a few words to acknowledge his latest step toward a pro soccer career, the Bermudian international stepped up to the podium and provided one of the more inspiring speeches in the (admittedly limited...this might be the only one) history of inspiring Draft Day speeches.
And he wasn't done. In his first interview as an official draft pick of RBNY, Lewis looked old friends in the eye and let them know the truth: New York is Red. Red like the flag of Bermuda.
