On April 22, 2017, Sacha Kljestan was credited with a secondary assist for his part in the build-up to the New York Red Bulls' first goal of a 2-0 win over Columbus Crew.

It was Kljestan's 40th assist in all competitions for RBNY - and he is just the second player in club history to reach that mark. On the club's all-time, all-competitions assist-making list, Kljestan has broken free of the legends clustered on 39 career assists for the team - Tab Ramos and Amado Guevara - to stand alone in second place, behind only Thierry Henry.

But he stands alone in that elite group of RBNY play-makers for the rate at which he has accumulated his assists. Per MetroFanatic.com's list of all-time, all-competitions assist-makers for the Red Bulls, the current top four:

Name Games Played Starts Minutes Assists Assists/90
Thierry Henry 135 130 11510 49 0.38
Sacha Kljestan 88 83 7298 40 0.49
Amado Guevara 117 114 10284 39 0.34
Tab Ramos 131 122 10447 39 0.34

In league play, he is also second on the club's all-time list, with 38 career regular-season assists for RBNY - just four behind Henry's club-record 42.

Kljestan's assist against Columbus was a match-winner, so he has moved past Henry in one regard: he is now the record-holder for regular-season game-winning assists for RBNY with 12 in his career for the club to date.

And Kljestan is also moving steadily up the MLS list of all-time regular-season assist-makers. His career in the league includes three and a half seasons with Chivas USA. He currently has 71 career assists in MLS regular-season games: good for 16th on the all-time list.
