The New York Red Bulls U-23 team played its first game of PDL 2017 on Saturday, May 20, picking up a 3-2 win over Reading United.
RBNY U-23s first game of the PDL season happens to have arrived in Week 3 of the league's 2017 competition, making PDL's Week 3 Team of the Week the first one this year for which any Red Bulls have been eligible for selection.
PDL is a big league - 72 teams scattered around the USA - so it's no small thing to get selected to its Team of the Week. No RBNY U-23s made PDL 2017's Week 3 best XI, but Brian White was named to the 18-man group selected for honorable mention.
