Felipe, Kemar Lawrence Named to MLS Team of the Week Bench

Another solid effort from Felipe earned him yet another spot in the Team of the Week XI.

Two of RBNY's top performers in Saturday's 2-1 win over the New England Revolution earned spots on the MLS Team of the Week for Week 13.

On Monday the Team of the Week was released, and featured Red Bulls defender Kemar Lawrence and midfielder Felipe riding the bench.

Lawrence had a near-flawless performance for RBNY in Saturday's comeback win, nearly scoring a golazo in the first half, helping the team keep the net clean from open play and contributing heavily to both of the goals scored in the second half of the game.

Lost in the praise heaped on Kemar Lawrence for his efforts was the fact that Felipe had a solid outing in his own right. He drew four fouls and had a secondary assist on Daniel Royer's game-winning goal in the 74th minute.

The bench spot for Lawrence is his first this season, while Felipe has appeared on the bench multiple times in this campaign. However, Aaron Long remains the only RBNY player to earn a spot on the Team of the Week starting XI (Week 4 & Week 8).
