A 3-1 win over Ocean City Nor'easters extended RBNY U-23s' perfect start to PDL 2017.

New York Red Bulls U-23s continued their winning start to PDL 2017 with a 3-1 victory over Ocean City Nor'easters at the Red Bull Training Facility on May 27.

Defender Collyns Laokandi got his first minutes for the U-23s in this game: he is the 19th player to see time on the field for RBNY in PDL so far this season.

The U-23s opened the scoring mid-way through the first half, as Brian White continued his goal-a-game scoring streak.

Jose Aguinaga had the Red Bulls' second before half-time.

The Nor'easters came into this game with a perfect record of their own - three straight wins to start the season - and put themselves back in the match early in the second half.

But Juan Sebastian Sanchez put the U-23s back on course for their third consecutive win of PDL 2017.

Per the official PDL stats sheet, Sean Teixeira assisted Sanchez: an all-RBNY Academy goal to cap the match.

The Red Bulls currently top the Mid Atlantic Division standings in PDL, holding a goal-difference advantage over second-placed Ocean City. But there are still a lot of games to be played, and the U-23s have yet to play away from home.

The team's first away game of the season is its next challenge. On Saturday, June 3, at St. John's University's Belson Stadium, the U-23s will play FA Euro FC. Kick-off is at 7:30 pm.
