Some personnel news to take you into the weekend...

According to Big Apple Soccer's Kristian Dyer, new signing Peguy Luyindula was in training today. We found out earlier in the week that the former PSG man's visa was readied in short order and that he'd be eligible for Saturday's match-up with the Montreal Impact. Whether or not Luyindula plays remains to be seen, but it looks like he'll be available to do whatever Head Coach Mike Petke needs him to do.

Also from Dyer, Juninho was training. His status is a bit less concrete, but earlier this week he said he feels fine. Whether or not that's enough to start him, or even give him some minutes, remains to be seen.

New Red Bull Kevin Hartman trained with the team Friday morning, too, getting his feet under him after sitting out a few month after being released by FC Dallas. Whether he's in the matchday 18 or not is another question, though if he's left off, it wouldn't be surprising as Petke told Dyer and Big Apple Soccer he was confident trotting out 17-year-old rookie keeper Santiago Castano in an emergency, but not for the long haul.

Another note, it looks like Lloyd Sam, who's been left out of not only the starting XI but the bench, too, will be making the trip north to Montreal. Petke said last week that Sam had to put in the work in training to earn his spot. Sam filled in admirably at the end of last season, bringing speed and one-on-one ability the team was lacking.
