In case you missed it, the New York Red Bulls thoroughly dismantled a little club called Chelsea FC in the International Champions Cup, 4-2. They play in some league called the English Premier League. (I know, I've never heard of it either.)
What makes this friendly victory so impressive (if friendly victories can be impressive) is that the Red Bulls squad was comprised of reserves and USL reserve squad players. One of those players is Sean Davis, a recent Homegrown signing from Duke who scored two goals in the win.
It was such a fantastic performance by the Academy graduate, that Rob Usry decided to make an "every touch" video for Sean Davis. Hopefully Jurgen Klinsmann sees this video and Davis gets a call in to the United States U23 National Team for Olympics qualifying in the fall. On that note, hopefully club coaches in Europe and South America don't see this video and realize how good he is; I'm kind of hoping he stays a New York Red Bulls player for a very, very, very long time.
Watch and enjoy!
