Bulls Abroad: Kemar Lawrence, Jamaica Draw with Costa Rica

After a fast start, Jamaica lose steam in Group B action

Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports

The Jamaican national team took an early lead, but could not hold off Costa Rica, succumbing to a 1-1 draw in Kingston.

Kemar Lawrence's efficient flank play put the Reggae Boyz up in the 16th minute with an in-swinging cross from about 30 yards out, finding the head of Je-Vaughn  Watson.

The New York Red Bulls - New England Revolution connection held for about 45 minutes.  However, Costa Rica tied the game up in the 68th with a goal from Johnny Acosta.

Since Panama and Haiti also drew (0-0), all teams in Group B gain a point halfway through Round Four of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying.  Costa Rica sit in first with seven points, Panama & Jamaica are tied with four points and Haiti brings up the rear with one point.

Jamaica will now travel to San Jose, Costa Rica on Tuesday March 29th to finish up the March FIFA window.  Then on April 1st, the Red Bulls and Revs will have their own game.
