New York Red Bulls U-23s down Lehigh Valley United, 2-1, in PDL 2017

RBNY U-23s have now won their first five games of PDL 2017.

New York Red Bulls U-23s continued their winning start to PDL 2017 with a 2-1 win over Lehigh Valley United on Wednesday, June 7, at LVU's J. Birney Crum Stadium.

Goals from Fabio De Sousa and Brian White edged the U-23s past LVU, pushing the Red Bulls' current winning streak to five consecutive games in PDL 2017.

De Sousa's goal was his first for RBNY U-23s; White has now scored four in five appearances. Princeton midfielder Daniel Bowkett made his debut for the U-23s in this game, putting in 29 minutes off the bench.

The Red Bulls are top of the PDL Mid Atlantic Division standings with a perfect 5-0-0 record. The team has scored 13 goals and conceded just four in its opening five games of the 2017 season.

Next up for the U-23s is FA Euro New York on Sunday, June 11. The match will be played at FA Euro's home ground, Belson Stadium; kick-off is at 7:30 pm.
