Five games into their 14-game PDL 2017 regular-season schedule, New York Red Bulls U-23s have shown 22 players minutes on the field - impressive rotation for a team that has also won all five of those matches. But the squad is still growing.
The U-23s' roster now stands at 28 players, with the additions of Jake Areman and Daniel Bowkett.
Midfielder Areman played his 2016 NCAA soccer for Monmouth University after two seasons at the University of Maryland. Bowkett, also a midfielder, plays his college soccer for Princeton - and was in the New Zealand U-20 set-up prior to his move to the USA in 2014.
Bowkett is one of the 22 players to have seen field time for RBNY U-23s this season. He made his debut against Lehigh Valley United on June 7.
The rostered players yet to make an appearance in PDL 2017 for the U-23s are Areman, Marcello Borges, Robert Edwards, Jared Gilbey, Henry Martin, and Alexander Tejera.
