The playoff-bound New York Red Bulls U-23s continued their run at the top of PDL's Mid Atlantic Division with an emphatic 8-2 win over FA Euro New York at the Red Bull Training Facility on July 12.
Jared Stroud opened the scoring for RBNY in the third minute; the team's top scorer, Brian White, tallied the second three minutes later. FA Euro joined the fun in the 14th minute with a goal from Zhurabek Khusanboev - and then the Red Bulls indulged in a scoring blitz that saw the first half end with a 6-1 scoreline in the home team's favor.
Two more goals in the second half rounded RBNY's total to eight goals. Surprisingly, Morten Wenaas' consolation goal for FA Euro in the 65th minute was the last successful strike of the game.

Stroud and White finished the match with two goals each. Fabio De Sousa, Daniel Bowkett, Mason Deeds, and Jake Areman also found the net for the RBNY U-23s.
White's goals lifted his tally for the season to 15: he is PDL's leading scorer at the moment.

The result keeps the Red Bulls at the top of their Division with 34 points from 13 games. The team has scored 47 goals in its season to date, and conceded 13.
Only Reading United can prevent RBNY U-23s from clinching the Mid Atlantic Division's regular-season title. A point separates the two teams, and they each have one game left to play before their attention turns to the post-season.
The Red Bulls will close out their PDL 2017 regular season on July 15 at Red Bull Training Facility against Evergreen FC. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm. Admission is free.
Reading United will play the same day, on the road against Lehigh Valley United at J.Birney Crum Stadium. That game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 pm.
