The fourth and latest edition of the PDL 2017 Top Prospects list has two New York Red Bulls U-23 players ranked in its top three.
Michigan Bucks forward Francis Atuahene remains the top-ranked prospect in PDL 2017. In second place on the list is RBNY U-23s' 'keeper Ben Lundgaard, who was ranked in the same position in the last edition. Lundgaard has appeared in all 12 of the U-23s' regular-season games in PDL 2017, back-stopping the team to its present 10-1-1 record and the top spot in the Mid Atlantic Division. In those games, RBNY has conceded nine goals. Lundgaard is credited with 36 saves and a .800 save percentage for the season to date.
The third-placed player on the Top Prospects list is forward Brian White. He is currently the top-scorer in PDL, with 13 goals in 12 appearances. White was ranked fifth in the last edition of the PDL's ranking of its top talent.
Also on the list is defender Kevin Politz - a homegrown prospect for RBNY. The defender is ranked 31st, up one spot from his last ranking. Politz has made nine appearances for the RBNY U-23s in PDL so far this season.
The U-23s will be in the PDL playoffs this season, having clinched a top-two finish in the Mid Atlantic Division. They currently lead the Division with two games left to play. Their next game is on July 12 against FA Euro New York at the Red Bull Training Facility. Kick-off is at 7:30 pm, and admission is free.
