The game will still take place on a Thursday night.
Life throws up more significant complications than a 30-minute adjustment to the start of a soccer match, but the change will doubtless be inconvenient to some - and entirely irrelevant to many.
Still, given the fact televised MLS games almost always start a little later than advertised, the adjustment to the kick-off time suggests a game that was likely to get underway a little after 7:00 pm will now commence a lot closer to 8:00 pm than originally expected.
Forewarned is forearmed, RBNY fans. Enjoy the extra 30 minutes of pre-gaming.
The first leg of the Eastern Conference final series between New York Red Bulls and Atlanta United is scheduled for Sunday, November 25. Kick-off time for that game remains scheduled for 5:00 pm, Eastern.
