In principle, either of these teams could win Group E - or none of them. And yes, it is possible that St Lucia wins by seven goals to clinch top spot in the group on tiebreakers. Or that St Lucia wins by fewer than seven goals and hands Haiti the group-winner title. Most likely, however, is that Costa Rica wins - just as it has won all its preceding group-stage games - and advances to the next round of the CONCACAF Men’s U-20 Championship as the winner of Group E.
A tie or any sort of win will be sufficient to send Costa Rica through to the Qualification Stage of the tournament (only group winners are invited). All St Lucia’s games in this competition have been low scoring (1-0 loss to Haiti; 2-1 win over Barbados; 1-0 win over Bermuda) and Los Ticos have scored a relatively modest eight goals over their preceding three matches - so don’t expect a goal-fest. Do expect Costa Rica to win this game and Group E.
