Who loves Luis Robles? MLS loves Luis Robles. How do we know? Well, the league's official website was so enchanted by his heroic work in Portland this week, it threw together a mini-highlights package for him: his 2014 Save of the Year against Seattle Sounders set alongside his big save against Portland this week. There's even a poll. Good work, MLS.
It was, of course, a special week for Robles: his 100th consecutive MLS regular season appearance; his club-record 30th shutout for the New York Red Bulls; now, a Team of the Week appearance. Congrats, Luis!

Also included, on the official selection's bench: Damien Perrinelle, who scored a goal against Portland (a "soft" goal, per Caleb Porter - but we know you're not soft, DP), and kept himself in the hunt for RBNY's most-yellow-cards-in-a-season record (there is a thread devoted to following this epic chase on MetroFanatic.com).
Congrats to you also, DP!
A big week for the Red Bulls, bringing just and deserved accolades to some of the players who made it so. Thanks, MLS - glad to know you're paying attention.
