Three Red Bulls Academy products will feature in the 24-man United States U-17 National Team camp playing its final friendlies before the U-17 World Cup.
New York Red Bulls II defensive midfielder Tyler Adams, New York Red Bulls U16 forward Brian Saramago, and Academy-product Matthew Olosunde made the camp roster, which was announced on Sept. 21.
The camp will hold two friendlies against Mexico on Sept. 23 and 25.
Adams has featured in 11 games for NYRB II on his first professional contract, while Saramago played 5 games with the team as one of the academy call ups. Saramago was the leading scorer for the Red Bulls Academy U16 team for the 2014-15 season.
Olosunde is one of the most highly rated prospects in the Red Bulls system, leading to reports that Manchester United is interested in the young fullback. He spent the 2014-15 in Bradenton, Florida in the residency program for the U-17 national team.
Adams and Saramago are both versatile players with the former playing both fullback and midfielder for the U17s, and latter playing both striker and on the wing for the Red Bulls Academy.
The United States was drawn into Group A of the U17 World Cup playing Chile, Nigeria, and Croatia. Their first match is on October 17 against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
