New York Red Bulls U-23s returned to their home ground and winning ways on June 21, bouncing back from their first defeat of the PDL 2017 season (against Reading United on June 17) with a 3-1 win over Lehigh Valley United.

Two goals inside the first 10 minutes set the U-23s on their way to three points. Ethan Lochner set up Daniel Bowkett for the opening goal, and then the RBNY Academy and Georgetown forward scored the second himself, assisted by Jared Stroud.

Collyns Laokandi provided the assist for the U-23s' third goal, scored in the 60th minute by Brian White.

Lehigh Valley United's consolation goal came in the 90th minute, after RBNY's starting 'keeper, Ben Lundgaard, had been subbed out for Robert Edwards.

The U-23s are on the road next, against Evergreen FC on June 24.
