New York Red Bulls U-23s picked up their 10th win of PDL 2017 on June 28, beating Jersey Express, 5-1, at Williams Field. Since the team's one and only loss of the season to date - against Reading United on June 17 - the U-23s have won three straight by an aggregate score of 18-1.

Against Jersey Express, Jose Aguinaga and Zach Knudson scored two goals each in the first half, sending the Red Bulls into half-time with a 4-0 lead. The home team struck back in the second half through Ricardo Oldham, but Aguinaga's third goal of the game restored the four-goal advantage.

Knudson's goals took his tally for the season to 10, putting him in the PDL Golden Boot race with teammate Brian White - who has scored 13 times in 11 appearances.

The team has 10 wins from 11 games and is top of the Mid Atlantic Division with 30 points. Reading United could still catch RBNY: the Philadelphia Union affiliate has 21 points from eight games. Third-placed Ocean City Nor'easters have 21 points from 11 games, and will at least have a say in the Division title: they host Reading United and RBNY U-23s for their next two matches.

The Red Bulls have three games left in their PDL 2017 regular season. Their next game is against Ocean City Nor'easters at Carey Stadium on July 9.
