Buy 'Em or Bag 'Em Week 30: The Shield Race is On

Orlando is one point out of a playoff spot. RBNY is one point away from sole possession of the Shield.

Roster change deadline: Wednesday September 23, 8:00pm ET

Amount of Free Transfers this week: 2

The New York Red Bulls ended a double game week on a high note, pushing them into a guaranteed playoff spot and into a tie with the Vancouver Whitecaps for the Supporter's Shield lead.  Each of the teams have 48 points.  The Whitecaps hold the first tiebreaker (15 wins to 14 wins), but RBNY has one game in hand, so they can take the sole lead with a victory against Orlando City on Friday night.  The Red Bulls lead the league with 1.71 points per game.

Buy back Dax McCarty.  He was suspended for the Portland game due to yellow card accumulation.  He'll be nicely rested and ready to take on his hometown team.  Look for him to play hard now that he had additional rest.  You can buy Felipe Martins too.  Kaka is listed as having an injury and has missed Orlando's last three games.  If he does make a return, he most likely won't be 100%.  Martins will be able to push forward a bit and maybe recreate his long range blast.  As a bonus, buy Luis Robles.  He had two double saves against Portland, got on MLS' Team of the Week and earned his 100th consecutive start.  He's on fire.  He has a good chance at another clean sheet as Orlando has only scored 16 of their 37 goals on the road this season.

Sell Connor Lade.  After being suspended for yellow card accumulation, Sal Zizzo made the start at outside back.  And he was pretty impressive against his old club.  Jesse Marsch may try that again.
