Best of Once a Metro 2015

Yes, this should've happened sooner, get off our backs.

Now that we're out of the haze of the holiday season, we here at Once a Metro want to take a look back at the year that was for us. 2015 was the best year ever for Once a Metro. We saw an influx of new members to the community, as well as a glut of contributors who helped make the site what it was in 2015. Here's a look back at the best our site had to offer in 2015.

Aaron Bauer was busy in 2015. He came onto the scene looking into the Rainbow Connection, the pipeline of talent coming to MLS from Cameroon. He also conducted a series of excellent interviews, that started with former Sporting Director Andy Roxburgh. The series then focused on players in the New York Red Bulls II USL squad, capped off by a great one with Bolu Akinyode.

Huan Nguyen started off a series of posts looking at how the Red Bulls were approaching 2015, and noticed it followed the pattern of Ralf Rangnick, the Sporting Director of Red Bull Football.

Anthony Terminelli took a look at Gonazlo Veron and asked the question, "could he become the best player in MLS?"

Everyone remembers Thierry Henry, but how many caught his ghost helping the team in 2015?

JasonRBNY made some great videos this year, with one of his best being the Red Bulls' enjoying a day off in Chicago.

Do you have any favorite Once a Metro posts from 2015? Let us know in the comments.

Finally, when the Red Bulls travelled to Portland to take on the Timbers, one of our own asked how the team would do on the Oregon Trail.
