Recently when Kemar Lawrence has been given a break, Anthony Wallace has filled in at Left Back. Many were speculating that Roy Miller was demoted to 3rd on the depth chart. However, an injury may have been the reason. New York Red Bulls' Senior Director of Communications Jason Baum confirmed that Miller will be out with a sprained MCL.
Per @jessemarsch, @NewYorkRedBulls D Roy Miller is out 6-8 weeks with a MCL sprain. #RBNY

The 6-8 week time frame covers pretty much the rest of the regular season. With Kemar Lawrence going off to join Jamaica ahead of World Cup Qualifying, it leaves the Red Bulls a man down in terms of defensive cover. Miller has also slotted in at Center Back a few times this year. Not being able to have him as cover in that position as well when Matt Miazga joins the United States' U-23 will hurt the team.
The injury isn't an immediate concern given players can slot in where needed, but losing Miller during this stretch run towards the playoffs with people missing can be a big issue if injuries or suspensions pick up.
