As you may recall, the New York Red Bulls had a couple of Goal of the Week candidates in Week 29 - and they got a thorough Soundering in the voting. Good news: RBNY has another goal nominated in Week 30! Dax McCarty is the name on the ballot, but it is really a nomination for the Red Bulls' hard work on the training ground.
Clever stuff, RBNY. Vote for it!
The Red Bulls' free-kick routine was so remarkable, mlsssoccer.com even put together a mini-poll comparing it to an earlier (and also eye-catching) set play from Real Salt Lake. So you can vote for RBNY's savvy set-piece work again.
Of course, towering over this week's Goal of the Week contenders is Sebastian Giovinco's improbable, physics-defying goal (or assist) from the bye-line.
Cross or shot? Who cares? That's a special thing to do with a football.
So in order for Dax to win this week's Goal of the Week, it may take a Soundering to rival that of last week's vote. Get clicking for the Captain, RBNY fans.
